establish a strong foundation

A 10 year old boutique marketing studio in Scottsdale Arizona, with clients including Fortune 100 companies and local start-ups alike, had doubled in size within about a year. The growth was great, but they knew that to keep the momentum they needed to develop some structure around their business management and internal processes.

Initially hired to implement Taleo Business Edition (TBE), Oracles’ Small to Mid-Size Business Human Capital Management (HCM) platform, the role ultimately ranged from engagements with the software provider, contracted consultants to full Administrative responsibilities within the tool. This meant establishing and putting in places multi-tiered candidate application(s), requisition posting and management processed, candidate communication templates, Employee on boarding flows, and creating performance competencies and review templates. All while training and supporting users, documenting, digitizing and streamlining back of house business administration duties.

efficiency for growth & longevity

A passion for art, artists and the enrichment of the Portland arts community lead this Gallery to 20+ years of prominence. However, the organic growth of personnel, responsibilities and digital systems had made the working environment often chaotic and filled with time consuming systems and processes.

Through a staffing assessment, involving interviews with all staff and support team members, reviews of art intake, management and sales processes and an investigation into the leading software providers for gallery and museum management, we were able to set the Gallery on a course toward more focused employee engagement and increased employee satisfaction as roles were clarified to take full advantage of each personals skills sets and passions. Then a fully managed and supported migration of several key back end systems onto a single platform allowed for the recapture of countless lost hours and greater attention to individual customer needs.

change management

Change is the only constant, so folks say. Between market demands, strategic initiatives and leadership whim, very little stays the same for long these days. Small firms can "turn on a dime", so folks say. Big firms don't have it quite so easy, with complex processes, complicated internal engagements, and red tape, making change becomes an involved and delicate process.

By quickly gaining an understanding of the stakeholder landscape, business needs, corporate guidelines, timelines and desired outcomes we have been able to organize, articulate, plan, motivate and implement large scale business changes. Having managed smooth transitions between internal teams, workflows and customer experiences without disruption to the overall business, we know it can be done.
